Johann Ernst, Count of Nassau-
Weilburg, these rocks were broken
because of the passing way. In
1716.
Former administrative seat of the
county Nassau-Weilburg. Built
1700-1704 by Julius Ludwig
Rothweil.
1752-1762 as a penitentiary built
according to plans by Wilhelm
Sckell. 1820 conversion to the
catholic church. Extension of the
choir in 1884. Used as a church
until 1959.

Corner houses: plaster-framed buildings built to
plans by Julius Rothweil between 1710 and 1720.
The four turned corner pillars mark the once most
important road junction of the city.

school and cultivation of the side wings. Middle
part removed around 1950
